A Virtual Tour of Paris
I think a great way to start this blog, and get you in the mood, is to take you on a little tour of Paris for a few minutes as though you were really there.
Arnaud Frich’s website will transport you to Paris in a matter of seconds. Once there, click on the right arrow at the bottom of your computer screen and feast your eyes upon this magnificent city. You’ll feel like you’re actually looking at Paris from your rooftop.
Not only will you see all the famous landmarks, but you’ll be a voyeur into a number of Parisian appartments. Be sure to notice all the little sky lights lit up on the tops of many buildings. Those are the chambres de bonnes, (maids’ rooms) that mostly au pairs and students live in.
The details in Arnaud’s photographs will take your breath away, and the accordion music playing adds to the ambiance. (If you stay on the site for any length of time, you may want to mute the music; it can become a bit much after awhile.) When you cross the Seine you’ll see why Paris is called the “City of Lights”.
There are other beautiful photos of Paris at his website, Arnaud Frich Photo. Enjoy!
