16K Paris – Versailles
For the 30th year (!) the 16k race from la Tour Eiffel to the Château de Versailles will take place on the 30th of September with more than 20,000 runners participating. The race begins at 10h00 at the base of the Eiffel Tower with a fanfare of music for the send off. The finish line in Versailles is about 500 meters from the chateau on the Avenue de Paris.
A timing chip will be given to each runner to wear to monitor the arrival time at the finish line. Teams of doctors and therapists will also be available if necessary. The race will be open for 13 hours, until 23h00, afterwards any runner still continuing the race does so at his own risk.

Music will be a big part of this year’s race as a number of bands, orchestras, and other musical groups will be stationed along the route to keep the runners motivated and the spectators in a festive mood. Runners come from all over the world in both the men and the women’s division. So if you want to go out and give them some moral support, click here for the route that the racers will take.
Good luck to all!
