Guys, This One’s For You
Today was another jam packed day that has left every muscle in my body sore. That sounds bad but really it is all about having walked the entire city because, #1. I can and #2. it was an absolutely gorgeous day again that everyone took advantage of. Rain is in the forecast tomorrow and we go back to having typical Paris weather.
As I was strolling along the Champs Elysée (I LOVE being able to say that!) I came across some things that you men out there might be interested in. This is not to say that women, you can’t enjoy these places as well. But they might provide respite for those of you who are bleary eyed from more art than you have ever looked at in your entire life and having to drink mostly wine with dinner.
This is the entrance to the Citroën car dealership. Yes, seems weird-where are the acres of cars with all their hoods up so we can inspect the working parts, the guts if you will. Nope, that isn’t here.
Instead, you spiral around this tower of cars with each level representing a different model. Yes, I know you’re thinking if she really cared at all about us she would have spiraled and taken pictures of all the cars. I was thinking about you, but there was a Zara clothing store next door calling my name and I figured I have to leave some things for you to discover on your own. But I must say, many people were oohing and aahing, so things must have been pretty cool up there.

Less visually spectacular but I am sure just as entertaining, is the L’Atelier Renault across the street. Here again, you can see all the latest models and funky cars of the future–sort of like being in Detroit, but not!!!!!

And finally, after all the oogling of autos that’s been going on, here’s a rare place in Paris where you can say, “I just want a beer” and you’ll be in luck because that is all that they serve. culture bière, is a restaurant, bar, lounge all in one and caters to bubbles that have nothing to do with champagne. Patterned after a wine bar, they will help you pair your beer with your meal selection–by the way, I have it on very good authority that the food is quite good. All this fun and you don’t even have to leave the Champs Elysée.
