The Paris Traveler

Photos by Ann Forcier

La Fontaine Marie de MédicisShould I admit that age is creeping up on me, or do I just say that with my busy schedule, I can no longer remember every little detail of things that happen in my life? I’ll take the latter! In any case, I really couldn’t tell you how I came upon photographs by Ann Forcier, but I’m delighted that I did!

There are thousands of photographs of her travels throughout Europe where she captures the beauty and the essence of many of the cities that she’s photographed.

The lighting, the angles, the contrasts, the attention to details, and the subjects that she chooses makes you think she’s a native showing you the love she has for her city. What better compliment than that for a photographer!?

Galerie VivienneI know when I saw her photos of Paris, I was convinced she was a native Parisian! Then I viewed her gallery of photos of Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Rome, and Barcelona; all cities where I have lived and I realized she had a gift for capturing the soul of a city through her lens. I can’t wait until she visits Madrid and Mexico City!

If you’ve ever visited Europe, or dream about it, then her photographs are a must see! Thanks Ann for making me feel as though I were once again strolling the streets in Florence, Venice, London, Ireland, and many of the other great places you took pictures of. Bravo!

What follows is a small sample of her work.
