Rue Mouffetard

For those of you who are foodies and find yourself in the Latin Quarter area, a visit to Rue Mouffetard would and should be the call of the day.  Located in the 5th, this street is a remnant of a Roman road that lead south to Italy and the origin of its outdoor market can […]

Go South My Friends: Château de Gourdon

I found these photos on flickr and instantly fell in love with whatever I was looking at.  With some patience and the aid of Google, I was able to dig a little deeper for my own interests sake and couldn’t be selfish and keep all the info to myself.
This is just one of the beautifully […]

You Have To See This To Believe It

Here is someone a bit more passionate about the City of Lights than me!
Gerard Brion, creator of this “mini-me” model of Paris, has spent the last 15 years putting together this masterpiece with discarded items–soup cans, baby food jars and old cinder blocks. Amongst the rubbish are well tended flower beds and perfectly shaped boxwoods. […]

Sainte Chapelle

Today, I am doing a total about face and taking you to a chapel, a bit different from all the “cocktail-ing” we did the other day.  But being flexible and open to ALL sorts of experiences makes one a better traveler and introduces one to so much more while they are traveling.  That’s my little […]

Decorating with Napoleon

First off, I just have to say that I could not love this graphic more and would chop it all up and use it a million different ways in crazy collages or decoupaged on a pendent to create a necklace or bracelet charm.  Too much fun.  The guy is Napoleon and Musée des Arts décoratifs […]

List Worthiness: Jardin du Luxembourg

Yes, yes, yes, by all means, this should be on your list of things to do in Paris.  As much as I talk about other gardens that are my favorites, Jardin du Luxembourg is equally as grand as the Tuilieres and can be as intimate as Palais Royal.  It is deceiving in size as it […]
