Bateaux Parisiens is a cruise company that conducts sightseeing, lunch, and dinner cruises on the Seine, along with operating a river-boat shuttle called Batobus.
I opted for an evening sightseeing cruise, and for an hour we cruised the Seine while the hostess pointed out a number of attractions.  The commentary was pleasant and informative, and not filled with the typical puns and drivel that you so often get on tours.

But Tell Me, How Do You Really Feel?

Live from Paris…..it’s Monday!

     I have been meaning to share this and kept forgetting.  This is what greets me each morning as my computer kicks into gear and I get my day going.  It’s a web cam that is perched on top of Trocodero pointing sort of  west (I did not come into this world armed with a great sense of direction).  That dome that you see in the background is L’Eglise de St-Louis-des-Invalides, a beautiful church that is a part of a complex of museums devoted to the military history of France.  It is home to the tomb of Napoleon, which …read more
