I Want To Come Back As A Parisian Pet
This is my big lumbering black Lab, Libby, who has been with our family for 12 years and life would be incomplete without her. She is pretty simple in her needs and wants–give her love, a dog biscuit and the opportunity to sniff yellow snow and life is good. Pets in Paris don’t usually come as big as her. They are tiny, hyper, well-coiffed things that fit in women’s very large Chloé “it-bags” or huddle inside men’s jackets for warmth.
As much as I love our dog, I think I really would have to consider myself a cat lover first. That is why when I saw this photo opportunity, I had to take advantage. There really aren’t many cats strolling around–they must be left to fend for themselves and this one seems to be doing quite fine, thank you very much. It looked as though it was very patiently waiting for it’s lunch. I love how cats never give away what they are thinking and dogs so wear their hearts all over their fur!

Finally, after much cajoling, she/he/it decided to give me the time of day so I could take this picture. It was with much contempt of course because that is how they operate–almost as if she is thinking, “Yes, I know I am beautiful. Can we get this over with-I have lunch to eat”.

That is one very haughty looking cat! I am currently sitting on my sofa with THREE cats. Two that were sleeping peacefully until the third one jumped up to sit just slightly closer to me and then STARED at the other two trying to make them uncomfortable enough to actually leave so he can have me all to himself.
