Love That Man of Mine
I feel that I can say with total confidence that my husband is my biggest fan! He supports me in all the crazy, nutty things that I do–or at least tolerates them, and for that I am grateful. Twenty-seven years of gratitude actually. On my latest adventure, taking on The Paris Traveler, he not only supports me but helps market the blog by sending out five e-mails a day to people in his address book. They in turn read it and hopefully pass it on to others and so on and so on….you get the idea. So when he suggested a post topic, I really couldn’t let him down by saying no. Today, people, is that post.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE SUPER BOWL TELEVISED IN PARIS?
A burning question for many of you I know. Dave, my husband, isn’t going to be affected by my findings as he is going to be in our living room in front of his large screen, super HD, turbo charged entertainment center. I am going to be in another room which is why we get along sooooo well! His concern is for sports fans like himself, who have found themselves on foreign soil at the most inconvienent of times, like the day of the Super Bowl, US Open, college basketball championships–you know, the BIG stuff. Amazingly, I actually was able to find some places. I can’t guarantee that all of these will for sure have the game on so I’ll give you phone numbers in order to check it out. I assume if they’re willing to advertise that they have the game on, someone there should be able to speak English to ask.
****Due to time change, your loved one won’t be able to actually watch the game until Monday. Keep them far away from any media type device if you can! Maybe you could kill some time before the game at, oh, I don’t know……that silly Louvre place! ;-)

Thank you. For those of us in Paris who do not have access to satellite or cable, will the game be shown on regular French tv? Or should we plan to visit one of the above sports bars?

you are going to have to head to one of the bars i’m afraid. The Long Hop, The Moose, The Great Canadian Bar (25 Quai Grands Augustins) will have it live if you are up for an all nighter. There might be a cover charge that includes drinks but no food.
Have fun!
