Michel Drucker’s Red Couch

by Lynn on October 11th, 2007

JJ’s WorkplaceI went to see a good friend of mine at her workplace who was retiring after years at a job she loved. I can still remember when JJ first started working there and how happy she was. It was a dream job right off the Champs-Elysées. Not because she met celebrities all the time; she did, but she’s use to it. (Afterall, her niece is a famous French actress and her sister has been married to music royalty for more than thirty years, so for JJ it’s the norm.) No, it was a job she enjoyed doing.

Michel Drucker Vivement DimancheIf you’ve spent anytime in France, then you know who Michel Drucker is. If you haven’t, well think of a famous television personality in your country that has interviewed just about everyone who is anyone no matter if they’re known in the film or music industry, politics, royalty, etc., they’ve all spent time being interviewed by him (or her)! This sort of gives you an idea of who Michel Drucker is and all the famous people who have sat on his red couch.

Me in the control center getting in the way!Well, I decided I should go and sit on his couch while I had the chance! I mean I had been to the studio where they film their weekly television show (Vivement Dimanche) a number of times with JJ, but I had never sat on the red couch! According to those working there, only invited guest are suppose to sit there! So-o-o, my options were to wait until I was an invited guest on Michel Drucker’s program, or….. go and sit there in between tapings! I chose the later!

Me on the Red Couch! Now, I’m not telling you to go sit on his red couch by any means, but if you would like to go to the taping of one of his shows or one of the other shows on television with an audience in Paris, it really is rather simple. All you have to do is know someone who works there, or telephone for invitations or tickets! Vivement Dimanche with Michel Drucker is taped on Wednesdays at 14h00 at the Studio Gabriel, 9 Avenue Gabriel, Paris 8e. For a list of television shows you can go to a taping of, click here.

Charles, your info is a little sketchy. Have you forgotten part of her last name….? Huit…?¿?¿?. Could it be Huitorel? There is a young actress by the same name, Carole Huitorel. Could she be her daughter?

Carole Huit - comme le chifre
No, I don’t think so, more facts:
She worked for France Inter Paris (FIP). (see photo). She knew Michel Drucker when she worked on ‘the Desk’ at ORTF.
She married Daniel Riou; she has a daughter called Camille; her last known address was
26, Quai Louis Bleriot, 16th arr.
Her Mother was Anne Huit who was P.A.to the Director of Radio Monte Carlo.
She was a friend of Christine Cousin (Sports dept.) Charles Gavin.
