My Idols: Patricia and Walter Wells
I found this video this morning and just had to share. Patricia and Walter Wells I do believe are my idols as they have done what so many of us only dream of doing–closing shop here in the states and take the daring step of creating a life overseas. These two have been most successful– Walter, working for the International Herald Tribune and Patricia becoming a wonderful chef, creating cooking schools both in Paris and Provence that are consistently sold out, in addition to publishing several successful cookbooks. Here’s a glimpse of this very inspiring couple.

How funny! Yesterday, I was just leafing through their biography; tempted to buy it but that would be one more thing to ship so need to think about it. Patricia also writes for IHT, doing restaurant reviews which I save devotedly to make sure I try them. Her book on restaurants in Paris is one of the first I consider. Because of her, I fell in love with Le Soleil out by the Puces de Clignancourt and return every time I visit Paris. Of course there are others, but this one stands out. Anyhow, I too am a big Patricia fans…not as familiar with Walter but maybe I need to reconsider that book.
