Open Air Opera at the Parc de Sceaux
One of my favorite parks outside of Paris is the Parc de Sceaux, located just south of the city. With its château, large park, fountains, and walking paths, it’s easy to spend the day here. The town itself is quaint with plenty of little shops, boutiques, bookstores, and bakeries. One of my exes and I use to love coming here regularly on week-ends and each season brings with it, its own special beauty.
So, what can be more magical than an opera under the stars with the Château de Sceaux as the backdrop? For the past seven years, these open air operas have been performed in and around the city of Paris. This year the park is presenting The Barber of Seville on June 28, 29, and 30th. The wonderful Julia Migenes (who played Carmen opposite Placido Domingo in the 1984 film version of Bizet’s Carmen) is the director, along with music director Philippe Hui.
The opera begins at 21h30 with no intermission. Tickets prices are: 42, 52, and 62 euros. For more information, visit their website and enjoy an unforgettable evening!

The ‘mouth-watering’ sprouts must certainly be one of the favorite spots in the park? :-)

Funny you should say that because they are!
