Paris Connection

by Lynn on June 8th, 2007

People who are constantly traveling know that having a wi-fi connection is such a blessing! Especially if you need that internet connection all the time, and who in this day and age doesn’t?! As I happen to be traveling at the moment, it would be nice if wi-fi was available everywhere, but that’s not the case, and so I have to find that connection somewhere or somehow and at times that’s easier said than done.

wifi-paris-luxem.jpgParis is becoming the first wireless city in the world. PARVI (Paris Ville Numerique) envisions offering wifi connections to everyone. Whether you happen to be in a restaurant, café, or a museum; or perhaps sitting in one of the gardens, or waiting for a bus, soon you’ll be able to connect and surf the internet.

Starting in mid June there will be more than 260 public locations (not counting private locations such as hotels, etc.) throughout the 20 arrondissements of Paris where you can get connected from 7h to 23h or during hours of operation according to where that connection may be. It would be nice if every city around the world would follow suit and offer this most needed service in our era of technology!
