Publicis Drugstore
Lunch in a drugstore? In one of the food capitals of the world?
Yes, and it is one of the most fun seats in the house (city) for people watching. Publicis Drugstore is located at the far end of the Champs Elysee near the Arc de Triomphe and on most days there’s plenty of people and bustle to make a window seat a most coveted spot to take a break from seeing all the sights. If you snag a table by the window you are practically sitting in the middle of the Etoile (the traffic circle around the Arc de Triomphe). That alone is worth the price of admission. Order a yummy lunch and watch traffic patterns that defy all reason
But wait, there is more. This place also has a cigar store, a wonderful assortment of wines for sale, a gourmet food store and beautiful trinkets for yourself or anyone on your Paris trinket shopping list. If you need to catch up on all the news back home–wherever that might be–they have one of the best news stands in the city.
And yes, there is even a drugstore!

Charles De Gaulle / Etoile is the nearest subway station actually.

I took my mum here for coffee two days ago at about 5pm
A mix of tourists and those who want to be cool. I’m would not say it is worth going out of your way to see but if you fall over it and you need a drink why not?

Thanks. You are right. I never go quite that far on the 1 Line. I always get off at George V so I can walk a bit.
