Sunday Shopping
I am being a total nudge this week-end (my word for lazy) and have been an absolute mouse-potato–just searching the web and shopping as I go along. Thought I would share some of my fun finds.

I hear you whining–not another book! Yes, another one as they are my oxygen and so many are written about Paris that I would hate for you to miss a one! This one, Atlas Pocket Classics France, is a collection of travel essays by literary genius’: the likes of Robert Louis Stevenson, Edith Wharton and James Fenemore Cooper. The company publishing these works, Atlas & Co., owned by John Atlas, writer and former editor at the New York Times Magazine, has made a commitment to introducing the world to quality non-fiction that….”will make an enduring contribution to the marketplace of books”. This 3 volume set will, although written many years ago, will allow you to see things as they were which will certainly make your present day visit so much richer.
Is that more whining I hear–not another wine!! Gotcha this time! This is alcohol–but something even I haven’t tried as it is fairly new. St. Germain is an artisanal French liqueur made from 100% handpicked elderflowers found in the French alps that mixes well with other spirits to create all sorts of fun cocktails. For instance: throw one shot of St. Germain into a well chilled fluted glass and top with your favorite Champagne or Sparkling wine. Add a garnish of lemon twist or red berries and you are set. Sounds good to me. A visit to their site will give you other yummy libations to concoct, as well as take you on a very artfully done tour of the world of this award winning liqueur.
To get ready for summer, how about a cute French sailor’s t-shirt. No one could do it better than Petit Bateau, a French company which started out making high quality children’s clothes but luckily, the company decided that mom and dad needed super soft cotton garments as well. This paticular shirt, the Marinière, styled after ones worn by 19th century Breton fisherman, has been updated for the upcoming warm weather and comes in very non-fisherman colors as well!
