The Paris Traveler

This is one of my favorite museums in Paris, not surprising since Rodin is one of my favorite sculptors. I, also, love the work by Rodin’s student, lover, model, and inspiration, Camille Claudel, but unfortunately, unless you can wait until next year, her work will be on loan in Madrid until mid-January. (Which reminds me, if you’ve never seen the movie Camille Claudelwith Isabelle Adjani and Gérard Depardieu, it is a must see film!)

What I love about France is that the French are so versatile when it comes to showing films. I know in the U.S., unless you live in a large city, most foreign films are just not accessible. Not so in France, and even more so in Paris.
If you’re a film buff, then you need to go over to the Cinémathèque Française! There is truly something for everyone; from exhibits, lectures, and debates about film and the film industry, to watching old classics, or a homage to a particular director, or actor.
