A few people have written to me asking about the Cour Saint-Pierre since I’ve mentioned it in a few of my posts. Well to be honest with you, I could have written about this little passageway a lot more than I actually have. As I wrote in Fête de la Musique, I was living in the 17e for a number of years. Parisian Slump!

Do you sometimes get into a rut and have nothing to say? Or you think that whatever you’re planning on saying just isn’t important enough to write? Today is one of those days! I’ve started several posts and stopped after a few sentences, not feeling the subject like I usually do.

Arnaud Contreras & Alain Dister

A few days ago I received an e-mail from Arnaud Contreras and Alain Dister about their homage to the American writer, Jack Kerouac, who coined the term, “Beat Generation”. I was asked if I wanted to contribute something (a poem, a drawing, a song, etc.) to participate in this exhibit entitled, Memory Babe, A Tribute to Jack Kerouac. This is a celebration of the 50th year of Kerouac’s best known work: “On the Road“. The exhibit will take place on September 23, 2007 in Paris at the Cabaret Pirate in front of the BNF (Bibliothèque Nationale de France).
