Ticket T+

by Lynn on July 1st, 2007

Ticket T+Great news! Starting today there’s a new means of transportation in and around the City of Lights. For 1€50 you can now travel between buses and the tramway on the same ticket for an hour and a half. It may not seem like much of a deal to you, but believe me progress has been made! Autobus sur le Boulevard Saint-Michel

Years ago you needed several tickets (depending on how far you went) just to ride the same bus! Then, one ticket sufficed as long as you stayed on that bus. Now with the new white ticket T+, you can hop on and off buses or trams (except the T4) with your one ticket within the time frame allotted. For people making long commutes to and from work using several tickets along the way; you now understand why I say, progress has definitely been made. Tram à Paris.

For the time being only twenty métro stations will be selling the tickets and six RER stations:

Métro: Alma Marceau, Belleville, Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, Convention, Denfert Rochereau, Galliéni, Gare de l’Est, Gare de Lyon, Hôtel de Ville, Jaurès, Mairie de Clichy, Montparnasse, Olympiades, Opéra, Place de Clichy, Porte Maillot, République, Saint François Xavier, Saint Lazare, and Télégraphe.

RER: Ligne A : Gare de Lyon, Auber, Châtelet, Charles de Gaulle  Ligne B : Denfert Rochereau, Bourg la Reine

More changes will be coming in the near future, however, and I’ll keep you posted on what’s next.

Thanks for the Tickets T+ info, but: Can anyone tell me if unused R.E.R. tickets from last year can be used if I pay the additional fare? (From Roissy to Paris?) Thanks

Dar, hold on to your unused tickets because you definitely can use them later on. Even when ticket prices go up, like on the Métro, you can still use your unused ones years later, or as you said, you may have to pay the additional fare when it comes to the RER.
