You Want Rants?! Okay, I’ll Give You Rants!
Another theme day has creeped up upon us and this time, if you didn’t read the title of this post, the theme is “Rants”!

First of all let me say, I have more than one rant going on right now and I’ll tell you how I got there! About a month ago I wrote a post called Pet Peeve and it was perfect for this Theme Day, but could I use it?! No! “Why not?” you ask. Don’t ask me, but according to those making the rules here at b5 media, they said it had to be “a more recent post.” Something about stretching our writing abilities, etc.! The thing is, the rant I wrote about is my #1 rant!
Actually, it’s my only rant! It irks me, well, more precisely it bores me, that bloggers sprinkle words of French into their posts for no apparent reason other than to show that they know a bit of the language! For some reason this phenomenon seems to be prevalent mostly with the French language. That said, don’t use my last post, This Is Paris To Me, as doing the same thing because as I stated in my rant, Pet Peeve, I’m not talking about artistic expression such as novels, songs, (think of the Beatles song, Michelle!), or poetry.
Anyway, people who know me know I can get pretty intense about something I feel strongly about, but I like to think that I’m just a passionate person at times. (Lol.) Still, I must admit, I’m also known as being pretty stubborn! When I’m told I can’t do something, I usually try to find a “legal” way around it! So, what was I to do with my dilemma? Well, obviously, I decided I could rant about not being able to use the rant that I wanted to use in the first place!
For everyone who wants to see what I’m truly ranting about, they can read my post called Pet Peeve! So there you have it! You get two rants for the price of one!

You crack me up Lynn. Good job. (Of, if was going to sprinkle in some French, I’d say touche’)

More traveling rants than you can shake a stick at!

Lol! Very good Sherry…. I don’t mind French expressions per se, I’m talking about blogs that write sentence like: “I was walking down the rue with a copine when, mon Dieu, a oiseau did you know what on my robe!” My point is it becomes tedious reading an entire post written that way! (And I’ve seen quite a few!) Why not just say, “I was walking down the street with a friend when, my God, a bird did you know what on my dress!”
My point is, either write the whole thing in French or in English, not both! Like I mentioned in “Pet Peeve”, if I’m annoyed by posts written that way, how much more so for people who do not know French and have to guess at what’s being said?!
